Temazepam 10 mg is a benzodiazepine, which means it belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines. It’s used to help those who have trouble sleeping (insomnia).
The temazepam 10 mg can also be used to help you relax before undergoing surgery or other medical or dental procedures. This is referred to as a “pre-med.” It is available in the form of tablets or a liquid to be swallowed. Temazepam 10 mg is only available with a prescription. Temazepam is a crystalline white powder that is only partially soluble in water and only slightly soluble in alcohol USP. Having a chemical formula 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-hydroxy-1-methyl-5-phenyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepine-2-one.

SIDE EFFECTS OF TEMAZEPAM 10 MG:
You may feel dizzy or have trouble coordinating your movements. Tell your doctor or pharmacist right away if any of these symptoms continue or worsens. When rising slowly from a sitting or lying position, you can reduce the risk of dizziness or falling.
This drug may make you tired throughout the day. If you experience drowsiness throughout the day, consult your doctor. It’s possible that your dosage would need to be changed.
Keep in mind that your doctor approved this drug because he or she believes the value to you outweighs the risk of side effects. The majority of people who take this drug do not experience any significant side effects.
Following are the precautions a person should take if he/she is taking Temazepam 10 mg:
- Drowsiness or light-headedness, as well as a dry mouth, are the most common side effects.
- Temazepam 10 mg should not be used for more than four weeks.
- If temazepam impairs your vision or makes you tired, dizzy, or confused, don’t drive or operate machinery or equipment until you feel better.
- When taking temazepam, avoid consuming alcohol.
USAGE OF TEMAZEPAM:
As advised by your doctor, take this medicine by mouth with or without food, typically right before bedtime. The doctors decide your dosage according to your medical condition, age, and treatment history.
Although unlikely, you might face short memory loss after using this medicine. It is advised do not to take a dose of this medication unless you have time to sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours. You will experience memory loss if you have to wake up before then.
You can experience withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly stop taking this drug (such as nausea, vomiting, flushing, stomach cramps, nervousness, shakiness).
To avoid withdrawal, your doctor can gradually reduce your dosage. If you’ve been taking temazepam for a long time or in heavy doses, you’re more likely to experience withdrawal symptoms. If you experience withdrawal symptoms, contact your doctor or pharmacist right away.
